Basic setup - Read before using bots!

What programs are required before you can use any of these bots?

- Python 2.X (download here)

 

What operating systems are supported?

Everything from Windows, MacOS and *NIX is supported.

MacOS comes with python 2.X preinstalled.

On *NIX you have to execute apt-get install python2

On windows refer to the first point.

 

Next steps:

After installing python, you basically meet all requirements.

If you are using windows there is one additional step before you have everything that is needed.

Head over here and download the "Microsoft C++ Build Tools".

Hi, I followed all instructions but it always says "error syntax" and "command errored out with exit status". How do I fix this?

so python 3.8 wont work? thats what i have but i'm currently downloading C++ tools so i can't test.

you can after download c++
and try to build wheel for pycrypto

I uninstalled it and downloaded the ones that mila said to use. its much easier that way since i have same interface and same install location.

yes

because all script based on python 2

python 3 doesnt have pycrypto, the core from mila's bot

i suggest use python 2.7.9 or above
